&lt;p&gt;The Al-Awal Park Stadium in Riyadh will light up for the EA SPORTS FC Supercup final between Napoli and Inter at 20:00 CET this evening.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The game pits the reigning champions of Italy against the current Coppa Italia Frecciarossa holders after the two sides made it past Fiorentina and Lazio respectively in the first edition of the new-look format.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;As with the two semi-finals, should the 90 minutes end in a draw, there will not be any extra time but we will go straight to penalties.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;It’s a big game for both sides, who are hoping to add another trophy to the collection and bring joy to their supporters. Napoli, who are currently in ninth place in the league but just four points behind fourth-placed Fiorentina, could use tonight’s fixture as a confidence boost ahead of the hunt for a Champions League spot (Sassuolo vs Napoli will be played on Wednesday 28 February at 18:00 CET). Inter have just been overtaken by Juventus at the top but are hoping to reclaim first place, and also write their names in the history books with a third consecutive Supercoppa Italiana title (Inter vs Atalanta is scheduled for 20:45 CET on Wednesday 28 February).&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;HISTORY&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Napoli and Inter will face each other for the first time in the Italian Super Cup. Outside of Serie A (and the National Division), the Partenopei and the Nerazzurri have only met in the Coppa Italia, with 13 such meetings in total, three victories for the Partenopei, five for the Nerazzurri (D5).&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Napoli will play their fifth Italian Super Cup final (the second under Walter Mazzarri, after 2012) and will face an opponent other than Juventus in the competition for the first time.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Inter will play the 12th Italian Super Cup final in their history; only Juventus have contested more (17). Furthermore, the Nerazzurri have lifted the trophy seven times, only behind the Bianconeri (nine).&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Inter could win three consecutive Italian Super Cup finals for the first time in their history, and at the same time become only the second team to win three consecutive trophies in the competition, after AC Milan (from 1993 to 1995).&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;DID YOU KNOW?&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;After victories in Serie A against Salernitana and in the Italian Super Cup semi-final against Fiorentina, Napoli could enjoy three wins in a row in a single season in all competitions for the first time since March 2023; that run is also the last time the Partenopei kept a clean sheet in back-to-back matches in all competitions.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Inter have won each of their first three matches played in 2024 in all competitions; the last time they won each of the first four matches of a calendar year in all competitions was in 2017 under Stefano Pioli.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;HEAD TO HEAD&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The only meeting between Napoli and Inter in a final was in the Coppa Italia on 8 June 1978. Eugenio Bersellini’s Nerazzurri won 2-1 against a Partenopei side managed by Gianni Di Marzio.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Napoli have won just one of their last nine matches against Inter in all competitions (D3 L5), a 3-1 win in May 2023 in Serie A thanks to goals from Zambo Anguissa, Giovanni Di Lorenzo and Gianluca Gaetano.
