&lt;p&gt;Genoa have made their third signing of the transfer window, following the arrival of Icelandic player &lt;strong&gt;Ellertsson&lt;/strong&gt; (who was signed in January but remained on loan at Venezia until June) and Romania captain &lt;strong&gt;Stanciu&lt;/strong&gt;. Like these two additions, Grønbæk has been brought in to strengthen the midfield and provide Patrick &lt;strong&gt;Vieira&lt;/strong&gt; with fresh tactical options.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;FROM THE AARHUS YOUTH RANKS TO THE EUROPEAN STAGE &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br&gt;Born in 2001 in Risskov, a district in the city of Aarhus, Albert Grønbæk developed in the youth setup of his local club, AGF Aarhus. He impressed at U19 level, showcasing his technical quality and natural goalscoring instinct, before establishing himself in the Danish top flight.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;His next step took him further north to &lt;strong&gt;Bodø/Glimt&lt;/strong&gt;, one of the top clubs in modern Scandinavian football. Mainly deployed as a left mezz’ala, he put up impressive numbers: 19 goals and eleven assists in the league, and 30 goals across all competitions. He also made a significant impact in Europe, delivering high-level performances in UEFA competitions. He found the net &lt;strong&gt;once in the Europa League&lt;/strong&gt; and &lt;strong&gt;three times in the Conference League&lt;/strong&gt;, where he notably bagged a brilliant brace against Ajax.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;FROM THE FJORDS TO EUROPE’S TOP LEAGUES: A TALENT READY TO SHINE IN SERIE A&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br&gt;In the summer of 2024, &lt;strong&gt;Rennes&lt;/strong&gt; signed Grønbæk to strengthen their attacking options. Grønbæk was deployed as an attacking playmaker, right winger and inverted winger, thus demonstrating his versatility and adaptability. After &lt;strong&gt;two goals and an assist&lt;/strong&gt; in twelve appearances during his first few months in Ligue 1, Southampton came calling in January.
