Lega Serie A is a reference point for millions of football fans and supporters worldwide. It can play a crucial role in disseminating and accelerating actions aimed at making the football system sustainable and transferring this model to other societal realms, also becoming a promoter of positive change. Football can be a fundamental guardian of rights and, at the same time, a driver of social innovations, while fighting against discrimination and promoting a more sustainable future. However, assuming this role means primarily aiming to become sustainable internally. Therefore, the strategy of social and environmental responsibility is at the forefront of the priorities and objectives that Lega Serie A aims to achieve. This intention has led the leadership to embark on the ambitious path that resulted in Lega Serie A becoming the UEFA Pilot League through the publication of its 2030 CSR – Football Social Responsibility Strategy.
