Serie A Enilive returns with Hellas Verona vs. Inter

Verona will host a Nerazzurri side looking to – temporarily at least – go top

After the international break, Serie A Enilive will resume in Verona, where the first clash of matchday 13 will be played.

The Gialloblù previously put an end to a three-game losing streak by beating Roma, and they now want to record their second consecutive home win to put their defeat in Florence behind them.

Meanwhile, Simone Inzaghi’s men haven’t lost since their derby defeat on 22 September and are hoping to return to winning ways after their 1-1 home draw with Napoli.

HEAD-TO-HEAD

Inter are unbeaten in their last 26 Serie A matches against Hellas Verona (W21 D5); only against Sampdoria do the Nerazzurri have a longer unbeaten streak in the competition (30 games between November 1961 and April 1977).

Inter have scored in each of their last 13 away games against Hellas Verona in Serie A, having failed to score six times in the previous 12; their current scoring run is their longest ongoing run against an opponent in Serie A.

Hellas Verona have lost 40 Serie A matches against Inter (W4 D22), more than against any other opponent in the competition; in addition, the Nerazzurri are the team that the Gialloblu have faced the most times in the top-flight in the era of three points for a win without ever winning (26 matches: D5 L21).

DID YOU KNOW?

Hellas Verona and Inter are two of the four teams that have conceded the most goals on average in relation to shots faced in Serie A this season (one goal conceded on average every 6.3 and 8.1 shots respectively) – along with Como (5.2) and Genoa (7.8).

PLAYERS

Casper Tengstedt, who has scored four goals in the current Serie A season from just five shots on target, could become the second Danish player to score at five goals in a Serie A season with Hellas Verona, after Preben Elkjær Larsen (on four occasions, most recently in 1987/88, seven goals).

Lautaro Martínez has scored six goals in eight games against Hellas Verona in Serie A; only Christian Vieri (seven goals) and Roberto Boninsegna (nine) have netted more for Inter against the Gialloblu in the competition.
